If you are trying to activate Fortect in your Mobile, Mac, or the Browser Extension, you do not need a key. Simply Log In to the app using the email and password you created during purchase.

Having trouble activating Fortect PC Suite? Whether you lost your key or getting an “Invalid Key” error, this guide will help you fix it in seconds.

1. Error: “Invalid License Key”

If you see this error while activating, check these common mistakes:

• Copy-Paste Errors: Make sure you didn’t copy any extra spaces before or after the key.
• Typo Check: Confusing the letter ‘O’ with the number ‘0’, or ‘I’ with ‘1’?
• Device Limit: Your license is valid for X PCs based on your plan. If you used all your devices, it will fail. You can deactivate device from your account and then reuse the license key.
• Expired Key: In case your subscription has been cancelled your license key will expire after 1 year. Click here to purchase a new subscription

2. I Can’t Find My License Key

Your key(s) was sent to your email immediately after purchase.

1. Search your inbox (and Spam/Junk folders) for: “Fortect“
2. Look for the sender: [email protected]
3. Locate your keys from your Fortect account

3. Need to Reset or Transfer Your Key?

If you bought a new PC or reformatted your hard drive, your key might still be “locked” to the old installation. You have two ways to fix this:

Option A: Deactivate it Yourself (Fastest)

1. Log in to your Fortect Account.
2. Go to the Devices tab.
3. Find your device on the list and click Deactivate.
4. Done! Your key is now free to be used on your new computer immediately.
